So you’re on the search for some ethical vegan lip balm which got you landed here. Good news – I’ve got you covered.

Recently, ordered this Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips three-pack on Amazon. It comes in three flavors and I’ve tested them all out for a week straight.

Here are the details.

What Are the Flavors?

The three flavors included in the three-pack are lemon-lime, superfruit, and sweet mint.

Three Flavors of Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips

How Do They Taste?

Each flavor taste good … not that eating lip balm is the goal or anything.

Flavors

  • Lemon-lime
  • Superfruit
  • Sweet Mint

I’ve tried each flavor of Eco Lips Lip Balm and I’m happy to report that they’re all pleasantly mild. Honestly, that was something I was worried about when I was thinking about purchasing these, so I thought I’d include it here.

I didn’t want something that I’d be tasting all day, ya know? So for me, the mild flavor that these have are perfect.

What Are the Ingredients?

For those seeking a vegan lip balm, it’s important to pay attention to the ingredients list. I’ve noticed that some lip balms out there claim to be cruelty-free, which some might interpret as vegan.

This is not the case.

Often times, these cruelty-free advertised lip balms will be beeswax in them. Before I went vegan, I thought, “What’s wrong with buying honey or products with beeswax in them? Isn’t that a natural product?”

The answer is, yes, honey and beeswax are both naturally made products of bees, but how they are harvested is not cruelty-free.

The following are ingredients taken from the product listing on Amazon:

*Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Fair Trade CertifiedTM *Theobroma Cacao(Cocoa) Seed Butter, Fair Trade CertifiedTM *Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, *Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, *Mentha Spicata (Spearmint) Oil, Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), *Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, *Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Flower Extract, *Eupatorium Rebaudianum Bertoni (Stevia) Leaf Extract.

The ingredients with an asterisk before them indicate that they are Certified Organic Ingredients.

As you can see from the ingredients list, these do not have beeswax, making them vegan-friendly! <3 🐝

What Does the Texture Feel Like?

These feel similar, better actually IMO, to regular name-brand lip balms.

For example, if you’re coming from name-brand lip balms like Burts Bees, you’ll notice that these have a similar texture but they do feel a but lighter on the lips.

I personally like how lightweight they feel.

It goes on effortlessly and my lips feel hydrated all day, even through lunch!

Does It Leave a Color on the Lips?

If you look at the picture above again, you’ll see that all of these balms are the same, semi-transparent color.

These go on clear and make your lips look nice and hydrated.

Is the Vegan Lip Balm by Eco Lips Worth It?

Truthfully, I spent a week with these products but that was enough time to make up my mind about these products.

Since going vegan about two months ago, I’ve been on the hunt for some good lip balm to keep my big lips from drying up into dead skin.

Thankfully, I found these and really enjoy them!

At the time of posting, I haven’t been able to find these in stores but you can buy the same three-pack I have on Amazon (click to see current price).

Have you tried these lip balms? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Also, if you recommend any other brand of cruelty-free, vegan lip balms that I should try, please also mention them in the comments! 🙂
